As a follow-up to the information posted earlier this week on the Design Matters Conference, we wanted to add that November 4 will be the Architecture + Design Education Network (A+DEN) Pre-Conference Workshop.
This day-long workshop will bring together a diverse network of front-line program staff, educators, directors, and professionals who provide architecture, urban planning, design, and/or engineering education and outreach to K-12 audiences. It will be an ideal venue for exchanging ideas and jump-starting new collaborations for teaching and learning about the built environment, cities, and why design matters.
The workshop will be hosted by Gabrielle Lyon, Vice President of Education & Experience at the Chicago Architecture Foundation. Featured speakers will be Robert Tai, Associate Professor of Science Education at the University of Virginia, and Trung Le, co-founder of WONDER, By Design.
Discounted registration is extended to CIC members and a handful of scholarships may be available. Contact Katherine Stalker at firstname.lastname@example.org to register and/or request a scholarship.
